Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing Your Chair

What is the difference between gaming chairs and ergonomic chairs?
First, let’s clear up a common misconception: our gaming chairs ARE ergonomic — they meet the same adjustability and comfort standards. The real differences between gaming and ergonomic (office-style) chairs come down to:

• Adjustability — Ergonomic chairs (Ergo One, Milano Pro) offer synchro-tilt mechanisms, seat depth adjustment, and more granular lumbar control. Gaming chairs offer tilt-lock, rocking, and class-4 gas lift height adjustment.
• Aesthetics — Gaming chairs feature bold colors and sporty contours. Ergonomic chairs go for a cleaner, office-friendly look.
• Presence — A gaming chair says “this is my battlestation.” An ergonomic chair says “let’s get to work.” Both perform — it’s about your vibe.
• Materials — Gaming chairs use TechRX II eco-leather or fabric. Ergonomic chairs use breathable mesh (Korean premium mesh on Milano Pro, durable high-quality mesh on Ergo One).

Bottom line: pick what fits your style. Both categories deliver proper support.
Which Paradox chair is best for programmers and developers?
The Ergo One is our go-to recommendation. Here’s why: breathable Korean mesh keeps you cool through marathon coding sessions, the 1D lumbar support moves up and down with the backrest to stay aligned with your lower spine, 4D armrests let you find the perfect position for both typing and mousing, and the extendable footrest is ideal for thinking breaks between sprints.

If you want a premium upgrade, consider the Ergo Milano Pro. Same mesh-first philosophy but with a Donati mechanism (Italian-made), aluminium frame and base, 4 tilt lock positions, and a 5-year warranty. It’s our flagship for professionals who want the best.

Both support heights from 165–195 cm and are tested for 200,000 sitting cycles — roughly 10 years of heavy daily use.
Which chair is best for gaming?
It depends on your budget, style, and what matters most to you:

Vanguard (from €199) — Entry-level with rocking tilt mechanism. Great first gaming chair with solid fundamentals.
Commander (from €269) — Mid-range. LumbarPro cushion, 4D armrests, up to 180° recline. The all-rounder.
Ultimate (from €399) — Premium eco-leather/fabric. Memory foam seat, 4D armrests, max recline.

All our gaming chairs are EN 1335 certified (European standard for office chairs) and BIFMA certified — meaning they’ve been tested for 200,000+ cycles of use. For you, this means a chair proven to last years of daily heavy use. Look for the chair that matches your budget and style — the ergonomics are solid across the board.
What’s the best chair for working from home?
A good chair is like a good car — it should perform well, but it should also look right in your space. For home office, we recommend:

Ergo One (from €369) — Our most versatile pick. Breathable mesh keeps you cool during long calls and focused work. Synchro-tilt mechanism moves the seat and backrest in a synchronized way, maintaining optimal posture as you recline. Built-in footrest for break-time stretching.
Ergo Milano Pro (from €599) — Premium Korean mesh, synchro-tilt with tension adjustment knob, aluminum base. The executive-grade option.
Commander (from €269) — If you want a chair that doubles for evening gaming. LumbarPro cushion, 4D armrests, full recline.

Synchro-tilt is a key feature for home office: unlike a simple tilt-lock, it automatically adjusts the seat angle relative to the backrest, so you stay properly supported whether you’re upright typing or leaned back thinking.
Can tall people (over 190 cm) use Paradox chairs?
Yes. Our chairs are designed for heights up to 195 cm, and the Ergo Milano Pro — our largest chair — accommodates even taller users comfortably thanks to its fully adjustable headrest and generous seat dimensions.

The gaming chairs (Commander, Vanguard, Ultimate) have a seat height range of 44–53 cm and tall backrests (85–87 cm) with adjustable headrests. For users over 190 cm, we recommend the Ultimate or Ergo Milano for the most room.

If you’re between 190–195 cm: any Paradox chair will work. Above 195 cm: try the Ergo Milano first — it has the most generous proportions.
Are Paradox chairs suitable for shorter people (under 165 cm)?
Yes. All Paradox chairs start at a seat height of 44 cm (Vanguard and Commander) or 45 cm (Ergo One and Milano Pro), making them comfortable for shorter users. The 4D armrests adjust down far enough for smaller frames.

Pro tip: if your feet don’t comfortably rest flat on the floor at the right seat height, consider using a footrest on the floor. Keeping your knees at a 90° angle is one of the most important ergonomic adjustments — a simple footrest solves this instantly.
Which chair should I get if I have lower back pain?
Important truth first: if you don’t regularly exercise to strengthen your core, don’t sit with proper posture, and don’t have your monitor at eye level — no chair in the world is going to fix your back pain. A chair is one piece of the puzzle, not a miracle cure.

But if you have the basics right — regular movement, decent desk setup, good habits — then the right chair makes an enormous difference.

For lower back pain, we recommend:
Ergo One or Ergo Milano — both have lumbar support integrated into the backrest that moves with you. The Ergo One‘s LumbarPro adjusts up and down (1D), while the Ergo Milano uses a similar system with a tension crank for personalized resistance. No removable cushion to misplace or shift during the day.
• The extendable footrest (Ergo One) lets you periodically elevate your legs, relieving lower back compression.

If you prefer gaming aesthetics:
• The Ultimate has built-in 2D lumbar support (up-down and depth) — the most advanced lumbar in our gaming line.
Commander and Vanguard use memory foam lumbar cushions — removable and infinitely repositionable.

Pair any chair with the 20-20-20 rule (every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds) and regular standing breaks.
What’s the best chair for neck and shoulder pain?
All Paradox models have a 2D adjustable headrest (height and angle). The key is getting it positioned at the right height — the curve should cradle the natural inward curve of your neck, not push your head forward.

Our gaming chairs (Commander, Vanguard, Ultimate) include a detachable memory foam neck cushion that you can place with great precision at the exact position that works for your neck and shoulders. For the Ergo One and Milano Pro, the integrated mesh headrest adjusts to the right height and tilts to match your angle.

If neck pain is your main issue, also check your monitor height — the top of your screen should be at or slightly below eye level.
Can I use a gaming chair for office work?
Absolutely. Our gaming chairs ARE ergonomic — the “gaming” label is about aesthetics, not function. A Commander or Ultimate has everything you need for a full office workday: adjustable seat height, 4D armrests, lumbar support, tilt mechanism, and a 135 kg BIFMA-certified base.

In fact, many of our team members use gaming chairs as their daily office chairs. The Commander‘s refined colorways (Grey Eminence, Military Green, Sand Storm) look perfectly professional in any office setting. The TechRX II eco-leather is easy to clean, and the memory foam lumbar cushion provides all-day support.

The only scenario where we’d specifically recommend ergonomic over gaming for office use: if you sit 10+ hours daily in a warm room and breathability is critical. In that case, the Ergo One or Ergo Milano mesh chairs will keep you cooler.
What’s the difference between the Ergo One, Commander, Vanguard, and Ultimate collections?
Quick comparison of our five collections:

Ergo One (from €369) — Mesh ergonomic. Breathable, fully adjustable, footrest, 4D armrests, 1D lumbar (up/down), multiblock tilt with 3 lock positions, recline to 135°, class 3 gas piston. For all-day professionals.

Vanguard Collection (from €199) — Entry-level gaming. TechRX II eco-leather, 2D armrests (height + depth), butterfly tilt with lock in upright position, recline to 180°, class 4 gas piston. Great value.

Commander Collection (from €269) — Mid-range gaming. TechRX II eco-leather, 4D armrests, memory foam lumbar cushion, frog tilt with 4 lock positions, recline to 180°, class 4 gas piston. Best balance.

Ultimate Collection (from €399) — Premium gaming. Built-in 2D lumbar support, 4D armrests, frog tilt with 5 lock positions, recline to 180°, class 4 gas piston. Top of the gaming line.

Ergo Milano (from €599) — Premium mesh ergonomic. Korean mesh, Donati mechanism (Italian), aluminium frame and base, 4D armrests, multiblock tilt with 4 lock positions, recline to 135°, 5-year warranty, 150 kg capacity. Our flagship.

Key difference: Ergo One and Milano are mesh-based (breathable, for long work sessions, maxiumum adjustability possibilities). Commander, Vanguard, and Ultimate are upholstered (bolder look, gaming aesthetics). All are fully ergonomic.

Features & Specs

What does “4D armrests” mean?
Four dimensions of adjustment (on Ergo One, Commander, Ultimate, and Milano):
1. Height — match the armrest to your desk
2. Width — narrow for focused work, wide for relaxing
3. Depth — forward for typing, back for gaming
4. Rotation — angle the pad to match your natural arm position

The Vanguard has 2D armrests (height and depth) — a simpler setup that still covers the essentials at a more accessible price point.
What are TechRX II and AeroDur™?
TechRX II is our premium eco-leather — a synthetic leather that looks and feels like the real thing, but is easier to clean, more durable, and more environmentally friendly. It’s used on the Commander, Vanguard, and Ultimate collections. Available in multiple colors.

AeroDur™ is the brand name for the high-quality mesh on our Ergo One — a durable, breathable technical mesh that maintains tension over years of daily use.

The Ergo Milano Pro uses premium Korean mesh — the best in class for breathability, comfort, and longevity. It’s a step above the Ergo One mesh in softness and durability.

Quick guide: Want breathability? → Ergo One (AeroDur mesh) or Milano Pro (Korean premium mesh). Want the feel of leather? → Commander, Vanguard, or Ultimate (TechRX II).
Mesh vs. eco-leather — which is better for long hours?
Mesh (Ergo One and Ergo Milano Pro): unmatched breathability — no sweating even after 12 hours. No cushion to compress over time. The Ergo One uses AeroDur high-tension technical mesh; the Milano Pro uses premium Korean mesh that’s softer and even more durable. Both are easy to clean — just wipe down.

Eco-leather (Commander, Vanguard, Ultimate): sleeker look, more color options, easier to wipe down. The TechRX II eco-leather is durable and resists cracking. But it will be warmer in summer — that’s physics, not a defect.

Our recommendation: if you sit 8+ hours daily in a warm environment, go mesh. If aesthetics and a premium feel matter more, go eco-leather. Both materials last years with basic care.
Is the lumbar support adjustable?
Yes, on all models — but differently:

Ergo One: 1D lumbar — adjusts up and down with the backrest to align with your lower spine. Simple but effective.

Ergo Milano: Same principle as Ergo One — 1D lumbar integrated into the mesh backrest.

Commander: Memory foam lumbar cushion — removable, infinitely adjustable. Place it exactly where your lower back needs it. Doubles as extra comfort padding.

Vanguard: Memory foam lumbar cushion — same removable, adjustable design as Commander.

Ultimate: Built-in 2D lumbar — adjusts up-down AND in-out (depth). The most advanced lumbar system in our gaming line. No cushion to misplace.

Pro tip: Your lumbar support should sit at the curve of your lower back (L3–L5 vertebrae). Too high and it pushes your shoulders forward; too low and it does nothing.
How does the tilt mechanism work?
Each model has a different tilt mechanism:

Ergo One — Synchro-tilt mechanism: the seat and backrest move in a synchronized manner, maintaining the optimal angle between your torso and thighs as you recline. 3 lockable positions. This is the gold standard for ergonomic seating.
Ergo Milano Pro — Synchro-tilt with tension adjustment knob: same synchronized movement as Ergo One, plus a dedicated knob to fine-tune the resistance to your body weight. The most adjustable tilt in our lineup.
Commander — Multifunction tilt with lock. Backrest reclines up to 180° with a locking mechanism at any angle.
Vanguard — Rocking tilt mechanism for gentle back-and-forth motion. Simple and comfortable.
Ultimate — Multifunction tilt with lock, plus butterfly mechanism for rocking. Combines the best of both worlds.

The synchro-tilt on Ergo One and Milano Pro is especially important for long work sessions — it keeps your posture aligned automatically.
What is LumbarPro?
LumbarPro is our proprietary lumbar support system featured in the Commander collection. It’s a contoured, adjustable cushion that sits in the lower back area, providing targeted pressure relief for the lumbar spine. You can adjust its position up or down to match your exact lumbar curve.

Note: the Ergo One and Milano Pro use a different lumbar technology — an integrated 1D adjustable lumbar support built into the mesh backrest, which adjusts up and down to match your spine. It’s a different approach but equally effective for long-term comfort.

The Vanguard and Ultimate use a padded lumbar cushion (similar concept to LumbarPro but without the brand name).
Does the chair have a footrest?
The Ergo One and Ergo Milano Pro both have a built-in extendable footrest. Elevating your legs reduces pressure on your lower back, improves circulation, and is ideal for break-time reclining. Just pull the footrest out from under the seat when you need it.

The Commander, Vanguard, and Ultimate don’t have built-in footrests — but they recline far enough (up to 180° on Commander and Ultimate) that you can use them as a quick recliner.
How much do the chairs weigh?
Chair weights (net = chair only, gross = with packaging):

Vanguard: 21 kg net / 24 kg gross (box: 32 × 66 × 84 cm)
Ergo One: 22 kg net / 27 kg gross (box: 45 × 65 × 73 cm)
Commander: 25 kg net / 29 kg gross (box: 38 × 66 × 84 cm)
Ultimate: 25 kg net / 31 kg gross (box: 40 × 72 × 84 cm)
Ergo Milano Pro: 26.5 kg net / 29.5 kg gross (box: 47.5 × 69.5 × 77 cm)

All chairs ship as a single box. Delivery is to your door via courier (DPD, DHL, or GLS) — no need to carry it far, but it helps to have a second person bring the box inside if you’re on an upper floor without a lift.
What is the weight capacity?
All Paradox chairs are BIFMA certified with a minimum capacity of 135 kg. The Ergo Milano Pro is rated at 150 kg.

Gas piston details:
Ergo One: class 3 gas piston — reliable and smooth, rated for 135 kg.
Commander, Vanguard, Ultimate, Ergo Milano: class 4 gas piston — the highest grade available, with extra durability and load capacity.

These aren’t theoretical numbers — they come from 200,000-cycle endurance testing simulating 10+ years of daily use. The reinforced steel frame and glass-fiber reinforced nylon base are tested well above these limits.

Will eco-leather make me sweat in summer?
Eco-leather is less breathable than mesh — that’s physics. If you work in a warm room for 10+ hours daily, consider the Ergo One (full mesh), or a Commander in AeroDur™ fabric (breathable textile).

That said, TechRX II eco-leather performs well in air-conditioned environments and for sessions under 8 hours. Many of our customers use eco-leather chairs year-round without issues.
Is mesh durable? It looks fragile.
Looks can be deceiving. The mesh in our Ergo One is a high-tension technical weave — the same category of material used in premium office chairs costing 3–5 times more. The Ergo Milano Pro uses premium mesh sourced from South Korea, renowned for producing the world’s best chair mesh.

Both are engineered to maintain tension and shape after years of daily use. They don’t sag, stretch, or lose support. The mesh is tested as part of our 200,000-cycle endurance program — that’s over 10 years of intensive sitting.

Bonus: mesh doesn’t absorb odors, doesn’t stain easily, and dries almost instantly if you spill something. It’s actually more practical than upholstery for daily use.
How long do the casters and gas piston last?
Both are designed to outlast the chair itself. The dual-wheel nylon casters are smooth, quiet, and rated for hard floors and carpet. The gas pistons (class 3 for Ergo One, class 4 for all other models) are the highest safety certifications available — it’s tested for 200,000+ cycles and supports the full weight capacity of the chair.

If anything does wear out (rare), both components are replaceable. Contact [email protected] and we’ll sort you out.
Are Paradox chairs tested?
Rigorously. Every Paradox model undergoes 200,000-cycle endurance testing — that simulates roughly 10 years of intensive daily use. We test base stability, gas piston performance, tilt mechanism durability, mesh and foam resilience, and armrest endurance. This isn’t a marketing number — it’s our quality threshold.
How do I clean an eco-leather chair?
Simple: wipe with a soft, damp cloth using mild soap. Don’t scrub aggressively. Dry with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, acetone, or bleach. For regular maintenance, clean every 2–4 weeks. Address spills immediately. Twice a year, apply a leather conditioner to keep the material supple.
How do I clean a mesh or fabric chair?
Mesh (Ergo One and Ergo Milano Pro): wipe the mesh with a damp cloth and let it air dry. That’s it. Mesh doesn’t absorb odors or moisture the way foam does, which is one of its big advantages. For stubborn spots, use a mild fabric cleaner.

Fabric (Vanguard fabric versions): vacuum regularly to remove dust and crumbs. For spills, blot immediately (don’t rub) with a damp cloth. Use a fabric-safe upholstery cleaner for deeper cleaning.

All models: wipe the plastic and metal parts with a damp cloth. Keep the mechanism clean and free of debris — a quick blast of compressed air once a year keeps things smooth.
Can I replace armrests, casters, or other parts?
Yes. Every component is serviceable. Contact [email protected] describing what you need, and we’ll arrange replacement parts. Armrests and casters are standard-fit and can be swapped in 5–10 minutes. Parts support is available throughout the warranty period and beyond.

Ergonomics & Health

Can a Paradox chair help with back pain?
A good chair helps enormously — but let’s be honest about what else matters:

1. Exercise regularly, especially your core muscles. A strong core supports your spine far better than any chair can alone.
2. Set up your desk properly: monitor at eye level, keyboard at elbow height, feet flat on the floor.
3. Build good habits: take breaks, vary your posture, don’t sit for 4 hours straight.

If you have those three fundamentals covered, then yes — a properly adjusted Paradox chair can significantly reduce back pain. The lumbar support keeps your lower spine in its natural curve, the tilt mechanism encourages micro-movement, and the adjustability lets you find your body’s ideal position.

For existing back pain, we particularly recommend the Ergo One or Ergo Milano — the mesh backrest conforms to your back’s shape, and the integrated lumbar support stays aligned as you move.
What chair features matter most for ergonomics?
In order of importance:
1. Seat height adjustment — this is number one. Your feet must be flat on the floor with knees at roughly 90°. Every Paradox chair has a certified gas lift (class 3 or 4) for smooth, precise height adjustment.
2. Lumbar support — adjustable depth or position keeps your lower spine in its natural curve. All our models have this.
3. Armrest adjustment — supporting your forearms at the right height reduces shoulder tension. 4D gives you the most flexibility.
4. Tilt mechanism — being able to recline and shift positions throughout the day prevents stiffness.
5. Wheeled base — a 5-star base on smooth casters lets you move freely and reposition without standing up. Micro-movements throughout the day reduce fatigue.
6. 360° swivel — being able to rotate to face different directions (second monitor, colleague, bookshelf) without twisting your spine is a small thing that matters a lot over 8 hours.
7. Headrest — adjustable height and angle for proper neck support during screen work.
What’s the ideal sitting posture?
Feet flat on the floor (or a footrest). Knees at 90° or slightly open (90–110°). Hips slightly above knees. Lower back supported by lumbar cushion or built-in lumbar. Shoulders relaxed (not hunched). Elbows at 90° on armrests. Monitor at eye level, arm’s length away. Chin slightly tucked.

But here’s what most chair companies won’t tell you: the “ideal” posture is actually the next posture. Your body isn’t designed to be static. Recline, lean forward, sit upright, use the footrest, rock in your chair — variation is more important than perfection.

And beyond the chair: work on your core muscles regularly. Eat well, stay hydrated, and move every 30–60 minutes. The best ergonomic setup in the world can’t compensate for a sedentary lifestyle.
How do I set up my chair properly?
Step by step:
1. Seat height — adjust until your feet are flat and knees at 90° (or slightly open). Use the lever on the right.
2. Seat depth / slide — if your chair has this (Ergo One and Ergo Milano Pro), adjust the seat slider so there’s about 2-3 fingers of space between the seat edge and the back of your knees. This ensures proper thigh support without cutting off circulation.
3. Lumbar — position the lumbar support in the curve of your lower back. You should feel gentle, consistent pressure — not a hard push.
4. Armrests — adjust to the height where your forearms rest naturally while typing, with shoulders relaxed (not shrugged).
5. Headrest — set the height so the curved pad supports your neck, not the back of your skull.
6. Tilt tension — if your chair has a tension knob (Ergo Milano Pro), adjust it so the backrest reclines with gentle resistance matching your body weight.
7. Recline — find an angle between 100°–110° for work. Fully upright (90°) is NOT ideal for long periods.
Does an ergonomic chair fix bad posture?
It makes good posture dramatically easier to maintain — but it doesn’t do the work for you. A properly adjusted chair supports your spine’s natural curves passively (so you’re not fighting gravity), keeps your joints at healthy angles, and enables micro-movements through the tilt mechanism. Still, even the best chair in the world can’t overcome 8 hours of stillness. Stand up every hour. Stretch. Move.
Can lumbar support help with scoliosis?
An adjustable lumbar system can improve comfort for people with scoliosis by providing targeted support. However, scoliosis varies significantly in severity and type — what helps one person might not work for another.

Our recommendation: try the chair with our 100-day return policy. Adjust the lumbar support to find the position that feels most supportive. If it works for you, great. If not, return it (return shipping at your cost).

For severe scoliosis, we always recommend consulting a physiotherapist or orthopedic specialist who can advise on the specific chair setup that’s best for your condition. Feel free to reach out to [email protected] — we’re happy to discuss your specific needs.
How often should I take breaks from sitting?
The 20-20-20 rule is a good starting point: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet (6 meters) away for 20 seconds. For movement, stand and walk for 2–5 minutes every hour. Stretch your hips, back, and neck. Use the tilt mechanism to shift positions frequently.

Even with 180,000 seating configurations, the Ergo One can’t replace what your body actually needs — regular movement.

Setup & Daily Use

How long does assembly take?
About 20–30 minutes. Every chair ships with illustrated step-by-step instructions in English and a set of tools included. You’ll need a screwdriver (included) — some people prefer using a cordless drill to speed up the screws, but hand-tightening works fine. All bolts have standard threads.

No special skills needed. If you’ve ever assembled flat-pack furniture, you can build a Paradox chair. Most of the time is spent carefully unpacking — the actual assembly is straightforward.

Tip: lay out all parts on a clean floor before starting. Watch the QR-linked video guide if the drawings feel unclear.
How do I adjust the seat height?
All models: reach under the right side of the seat and pull the lever while standing slightly. The certified gas lift adjusts smoothly — release the lever at your desired height. Sit back down and check that your feet are flat on the floor with knees at approximately 90°.

The ideal seat height puts your thighs parallel to the floor and your forearms level with your desk surface when your shoulders are relaxed.
How do I adjust the 4D armrests?
For 4D armrests (Ergo One, Commander, Ultimate, Milano):
• Height: press the button or lever under the armrest pad and slide up or down.
• Width (left-right): loosen the screw underneath, slide inward or outward, retighten.
• Depth (front-back): slide the armrest pad forward or backward.
• Rotation: twist the top pad to angle it inward or outward.

For 2D armrests (Vanguard):
• Height: press the button and slide up or down.
• Depth (front-back): slide the armrest pad forward or backward.

Quick test: rest your forearms on the pads. Your shoulders should be relaxed (not hunched), elbows at 90°, and wrists neutral when typing.
How do I adjust the tilt mechanism?
The tilt works differently depending on your model:

Ergo One — Synchro-tilt with 3 lockable positions. The lever on the left locks/unlocks the tilt. When unlocked, the seat and backrest move together in sync. Lock it at your preferred recline angle.
Ergo Milano Pro — Synchro-tilt with tension knob. Same synchronized tilt as Ergo One, plus a dedicated knob (usually under the seat, front-right) to adjust how much resistance the tilt gives. Turn it clockwise for more resistance (heavier users), counter-clockwise for less.
Commander — Multifunction lever on the left. Push down to unlock free recline (up to 180°). The side knob adjusts rocking tension.
Vanguard — Simple rocking mechanism. The lever unlocks gentle rocking motion. No lock positions — it’s designed for natural back-and-forth movement.
Ultimate — Butterfly mechanism combining tilt-lock and rocking. The lever controls lock/unlock, the knob controls rocking tension.

Tip: when you first get the chair, spend 5 minutes trying each tilt position. Most people find their sweet spot at 100°–110° for work.
Will the chair work with a standard 75 cm desk?
Yes. 75 cm is the European standard desk height. Paradox chairs adjust between approximately 42–52 cm seat height, which accommodates most users (160–195 cm) at a 72–76 cm desk with a proper 90° elbow angle. If 75 cm feels too high or low for you personally, consider a sit-stand desk for maximum flexibility.
Can I use the chair on carpet?
Yes, but thick carpet (over 2 cm) creates more rolling resistance and can slightly affect stability. We recommend a chair mat on thick carpets — it makes rolling effortless and protects the carpet fibers. On hard floors (wood, laminate, tile) and thin carpets, the dual-wheel casters work perfectly without a mat.
Are the casters quiet? Will they scratch my floor?
The dual-wheel nylon casters are smooth and relatively quiet on hard surfaces. On carpet, they’re nearly silent. They won’t scratch hardwood or laminate floors under normal use.

However, over several years of daily use, some signs of wear may appear on hard floors — especially in the area where you roll most frequently. If you want to prevent this entirely, we recommend a chair mat (available for both hard floors and carpet). It also makes rolling smoother.

For very soft or thick carpet, you might want to swap to hard-floor casters (blade-style) for easier rolling — contact [email protected] for compatible options.

How do I buy as a business and get VAT-free pricing?
Buying as a business on paradox24.com is simple:

1. During checkout, select “Company” instead of “Individual”
2. Enter your valid EU VAT ID (e.g. DE123456789, FR12345678901)
3. We automatically verify your VAT number against the EU VIES database
4. Once verified, we apply a 0% VAT rate on your order, in accordance with current EU intra-community supply regulations

If we cannot verify your VAT ID (e.g. it’s inactive, incorrectly formatted, or VIES is temporarily unavailable), we will apply the standard VAT rate of your delivery country.

The entire process happens at checkout — no need to contact us separately.
How do I get a VAT invoice for my order?
If you place your order as a “Company” and provide a valid VAT ID during checkout, a VAT invoice is generated automatically and sent to your email along with the order confirmation.

If you ordered as an individual but need an invoice, contact us at [email protected] with your order number and company details — we’ll issue one for you.

Warranty & Returns

What warranty do you offer?
Warranty varies by collection:

Ergo Milano Pro — 5-year full warranty + 5 years on the frame
Ergo One — 3-year full warranty
Commander, Vanguard, Ultimate — 2-year warranty

All warranties cover manufacturing defects, structural failures, and mechanism malfunctions under normal use. We’re also working on offering extended warranty options soon — stay tuned.

Warranty does not cover normal wear (fabric pilling, caster wear), damage from misuse, or modifications. For claims, contact [email protected].
What is your return policy?
We offer a 100-day return policy from the date of purchase. The chair must be in its original condition — used is fine (we want you to really try it), but not damaged or modified.

To start a return, email [email protected] with your order number. simply send it back to us at your cost via any courier. Refund is processed within 14 days of receiving the returned chair.

100 days is over 3 months — that’s enough time to truly live with the chair through different work sessions, seasons, and postures.
How do I file a warranty claim or complaint?
Send a completed complaint form along with photos showing the issue to [email protected]. Include your order number, purchase date, and a clear description of the problem. We typically respond within 1 working day.

For warranty claims, we may ask for additional photos or a short video of the issue. If the claim is valid, we’ll either repair, replace the defective part, or replace the entire chair — whichever is fastest for you.
What if I receive a damaged chair?
Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage (including the packaging). Do not discard the packaging — the courier may need it for the damage claim.

We’ll arrange a replacement or repair as quickly as possible, typically within 2–3 working days. Shipping damage is covered at no cost to you.

About Paradox

Is Paradox a Polish brand?
Yes. Paradox24 is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, and is part of the eco24 Group. Our founding team brings experience from McKinsey, Westwing, and award-winning design studios. Chairs are manufactured by carefully selected partners and quality-controlled to European standards before shipping from our EU warehouse.
Where are Paradox chairs manufactured?
Our chairs are manufactured by specialized partners in Asia, selected after an extensive qualification process. Our Asian partners offer unparalleled manufacturing experience, advanced research and development capabilities, and extremely competitive pricing that allows us to deliver premium quality at accessible prices.

We maintain strict quality control standards, with every batch tested before shipping to our European warehouse in Poland. This model — European design and quality standards, Asian manufacturing excellence — is how we deliver chairs that compete with €1,000+ brands at a fraction of the price.
What makes Paradox different from Herman Miller or Steelcase?
Herman Miller and Steelcase make excellent chairs — at €1,200 to €2,000+. We deliver comparable ergonomic performance at a fraction of that price (Ergo One from €369, Milano Pro from €599).

How? We partner with top Asian manufacturers, manage efficient direct-to-consumer logistics, and skip the traditional retail markup. The savings go to you, not to middlemen.

What you get: EN 1335 and BIFMA certified chairs, up to 5-year warranty (Milano Pro), 100-day risk-free trial, and excellent customer service including dedicated post-sale support. We’re a young brand, but our customers’ reviews speak for themselves.
Do Paradox chairs have certifications?
All Paradox chairs are certified according to EU norms for home use and our ergonomic lines (Ergo One, Milano Pro) also meet office/professional use standards. Specifically:

• EN 1335 certified — the European standard for office seating (ergonomic lines)
BIFMA certified — the international standard for commercial-grade furniture
• Class-4 gas pistons — the highest safety certification for gas lifts
• 200,000-cycle endurance tested — simulating years of heavy daily use
• Materials tested for safety and durability per EU regulations

These aren’t just labels — they mean your chair has been independently verified to perform safely under sustained, heavy use. Look for the certification marks in your chair’s documentation.
Is Paradox environmentally responsible?
Sustainability is one of our core values. As part of the eco24 Group, we’re committed to reducing environmental impact across our supply chain. We’re actively working on improving packaging recyclability and material sourcing transparency. It’s a journey, and we’re committed to making progress — not just promises.
